The present study aimed to designing a model to reduce employee procrastination in National Iranian Oil Company. The type of research is developmental in terms of purpose and Applied in terms of results, and qualitative and quantitative in terms of data type. The statistical population of the research in the qualitative section included 18 scientific experts and National Iranian Oil Company who were selected by probabilistic and purposeful non-probabilistic sampling method.In the quantitative section, there were 250 employees of National Iranian Oil Company, which according to Cochran formula, the sample size was 152 and were selected using random sampling. Data collection tools in the qualitative part included a semi-structured interview and in the quantitative part a researcher-made questionnaire. The validity of the interviews was confirmed by retesting. The content validity of the quantitative questionnaire was also confirmed by experts. The data analysis method in the qualitative part included the grounded theory and in the quantitative part the structural equation modeling was designed to validate the model. Findings indicate the model of employee procrastination reduce in National Iranian Oil Company include causal factors, contextual factors, intervening factors, central phenomena, strategies and consequences. The results of this research can be useful for to reduce employee procrastination and provide a good basis for other research.
