Employees' procrastination can have many direct and indirect consequences for government organizations. The current research was conducted with the aim of identifying and validating the antecedents and consequences of reducing employee procrastination in the National Iranian Oil Company. This applied research has been done with a mixed sequential exploratory approach. Identification of antecedents and consequences has been done with a qualitative approach and using the method of thematic analysis. The participants of this stage included faculty members and selected experts of the Iranian National Oil Company, and a semi-structured interview was used to survey their views. The structural equation modeling method has been used to validate the identified factors in the quantitative stage. For this purpose, a questionnaire based on the calculated factors was designed and distributed among the selected experts in a targeted manner to evaluate the relationships between indicators and categories. Quantitative phase data were analyzed using Smart Pls version 3 software. The findings showed that the antecedents of reducing employee procrastination in National Iranian Oil Company included management of employees' job conditions, management of contextual factors, and strategies. Also, the consequences were classified into three categories of individual, organizational and social consequences. Quantitative analyzes also confirmed the significance of the relationship between the desired indicators and components. The results of this research can provide useful knowledge to manage employee procrastination in National Iranian Oil Company. The simultaneous identification of the antecedents of reducing employee procrastination in the National Iranian Oil Company as well as its individual, organizational and social consequences can help to increase the knowledge of company managers in the direction of managing this phenomenon. Simultaneous attention to occupational, contextual antecedents and reduction strategies and their individual, organizational and social consequences is considered the outstanding feature of this research.
