Considering the increasing importance of petrochemical exports, knowing the drivers of export development in the country's economy and commercialization will play a fundamental role in completing the market cycle and its development. Based on this, this article aims to identify the drivers of petrochemical export development with the policy coherence approach. The current research was conducted in terms of practical purpose and with the qualitative method of thematic analysis. The data collection tool was based on past documents and interviews. In this method, 35 articles published in reliable domestic and foreign scientific research databases were reviewed and 12 experts and international consultants of the country's petrochemical industry, researchers of the Majlis Research Center and policy makers were interviewed. The purposeful sampling method and the method of selecting interviewees was snowball. In order to analyze qualitative data, thematic analysis was used. In the qualitative data analysis, 85 codes were identified, after merging the similar codes with each other, finally 50 codes were extracted and classified into 10 similar concepts and finally categorized into 4 main themes. Export development support policies, infrastructural policies, commercial logistics and political economic diplomacy were identified as the most important key drivers for the development of the export of petrochemical products in the country from the point of view of the managers of the international petrochemical sector and experts in this field.
