Framework for the Development of Downstream Industries in the Petrochemical Industry with a Focus on Windows of Opportunity Management

The development of downstream petrochemical industries is a huge opportunity for the economic growth and development of the country due to its rich resources and potential capabilities. Therefore, in this study, the components of the integration process, including capabilities and capabilities, windows of opportunity (technological, demand, policies/institutions), strategies and paths, as well as the goals of integration in the mentioned industries were comprehensively investigated, which is also considered research innovation. In this regard, the theme analysis approach was used by reviewing the basics of research and soliciting opinions from 15 experts in this field. According to the results, the framework for achieving alignment in the downstream petrochemical industries of Iran has 12 components of capabilities and capabilities, 22 components of windows of opportunity, 11 components of strategies and paths, and finally 15 components of success in alignment, which can stimulate each other; Therefore, the policy makers of downstream petrochemical industries are suggested to take advantage of the framework presented in this research for planning to achieve convergence and take advantage of its benefits.
