Practical Business Process Improvement: Heuristic Approach in Human Resource System (Case Study: One of the Mahshahr Petrochemical Hub Companies)

Review, improvement and reengineering of business processes, has gained a wide range of attention in many industries, as a new paradigm in organization and management sciences which is stemmed from system thinking. This paper aims to provide a review of best practices in the human resource management processes, and presents a conceptual model to implement improvement suggestions and introduces heuristics by usage of scientific literature and international best practices, as the appropriate methodology. The main results of study suggests 21 practical best practices implementation in one of the Mahshahr petrochemical hub companies. The results show that business processes improvement with endogenous approach (empowering staff), and having the advantages of teamwork, has a significant impact on improving the efficiency, effectiveness, internal interactions and outputs of the system.
